Simon P. Si
A founding partner of DWS Law Group PLLC, Simon P. Si focuses his practice on immigration and nationality law. He also counsels on family law matters and provides strategic advice on business formation, real estate, investment, and international trade. Mr. Si brings to DWS Law Group extensive legal, public policy, and managerial background, as well as professional experience in the U.S. and his native China, giving him insight into the legal and regulatory regime of both nations.
Following Master of Laws studies at Shanghai Maritime University, Mr. Si spent his early career as a law instructor in China, where he lectured on contemporary Chinese laws and policies with an emphasis on Chinese and international trade laws, including customs regulations, anti-dumping and countervailing duties, rules of origin, valuations, and classifications. After receiving his LL.M. from Indiana University Law School, Mr. Si moved to the Washington D.C. metro area, where he developed an extensive practice in the areas of corporate fraud, anti-corruption, and antitrust law.
Over several years, he has represented multinational companies in carrying out internal audits and discovery in response to Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) investigations. In addition, he handled False Claims Act litigation and investigations to provide specialized, industry-specific counsel and service requiring coordination with the Justice Department, state, and local law enforcement entities. He also has experience handling Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) discrimination matters.
Furthermore, Mr. Si has acquired significant NGO management and public sector experience, organizing projects and fundraising for several NGOs in Virginia whose members include two Nobel laureates and 90 renowned writers. In this work, he designed and evaluated federally funded research projects and worked with institutions, Congressional staff, the Department of State, and other U.S government agencies to ensure proper implementation of the projects’ missions. Mr. Si is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
A resident of Northern Virginia, he loves biking, hiking, and camping.
